Fly Geyser is a geyser of small earth is located in Washoe County, Nevada, which is a combination of man made wonder of nature with the addition of its own. Fly Geyser was accidentally unearthed by digging wells in 1916 during well construction. Wells worked perfectly until the 1960s when the water is heated geothermally, along with minerals, began to flow and steadily since then. With a combination of both water and minerals, Fly Geyser was formed about 5-feet high. This is truly one of a kind in the Hualapai flat, less than a mile from Route 34.
Fly Geyser is a beautiful tourist Nevada that few people know about. Even for Nevada residents, Fly Geyser is not as big a tourist site as it should because it is located within private property, known as the Fly Ranch. However, the feature is rather small Fly Geyser can be seen clearly from outside the fences of private roads. Just like the geysers of the Yellow Stone National Park, one of the main attractions Fly Geyser is a colorful structure is the result of decades of mineral overflow.
Though small, Fly Geyser is still amazing to see. You’ll need a zoom camera to actually take a closer look from the curb, but the experience is well worth it. Fly Ranch is surrounded by a fence wire and locked gates. Even with security to keep intruders out, there are still many people trying to get just to look more closely at the local geothermal wonders. Up close, the basic Fly Geyser also has a small pond filled with water, which adds to the mystic Fly Geyser added as a tourist attraction.
Nevada is a beautiful country to visit, with the peak months of September to June, and low peak months of July and August. Nevada is host to many wonderful places to visit. Once you’ve witnessed the miracle of Fly Geyser, Las Vegas is a road-trip away. If you want the best of both worlds-nature, mountains and night-out and then Reno, Nevada is the place to be. Lake Tahoe offers a variety of types of protection with trees and a cabin for a quieter destination.
Haulapai flat valley is located in northwestern Nevada, surrounded by granite. Fly Ranch land around is mostly used as pasture by cattle ranchers.
